2026 12th International Conference on Materials Processing and Manufacturing Engineering (ICMPME 2026)
It was our great honour and privilege to host the 12th International Conference on Materials Processing and Manufacturing Engineering (ICMPME 2026), which was successfully held from April 23 to 25, 2026, in Yulin, Guangxi, China. Centered on the theme“New Frontiers in Materials, New Momentum for Intelligent Manufacturing – Focusing on the Beibu Gulf, Empowering Industrial Upgrading”, the conference brought together distinguished academicians, expert scholars, industry professionals, enterprise representatives and young researchers to exchange innovative ideas, share cutting-edge research outcomes, and explore industrial development trends in advanced materials and intelligent manufacturing.
Over three productive days, ICMPME 2026 facilitated in-depth academic and industrial communication, covering advanced material research, intelligent manufacturing technology, new energy applications, green processing, and technological transformation. The conference also effectively built a high-efficiency platform for government, industry, university, research and application cooperation, promoting scientific and technological exchanges as well as industrial docking between Guangdong and Guangxi regions.
We sincerely congratulate all speakers for their outstanding presentations and interactive sharing. The conference was highlighted by three academician plenary speeches, together with 15 invited keynote reports and 35 high-quality youth academic presentations. More than 300 participants from top universities, research institutions and leading enterprises nationwide attended the event. The authoritative and forward-looking academic reports provided valuable theoretical support and technical guidance for regional industrial upgrading and intelligent transformation.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all distinguished guests for their opening remarks and guidance. Special thanks are extended to all session chairs for their professional organisation and smooth operation of each parallel forum. We highly appreciate the continuous efforts and dedicated work of the conference organising committee, co-organisers, supporting institutions, volunteers and administrative teams, who guaranteed the orderly and high-quality running of the entire conference.
The conference set up five well-received parallel sessions with distinctive themes, covering new energy materials and lithium battery industry chains, green intelligent casting and equipment manufacturing upgrading, AI-enabled agricultural and food processing, graduate academic innovation exchanges, industrial technology demand docking, as well as cross-regional metal new materials industry cooperation. Each sub-forum achieved fruitful academic exchanges and effectively promoted the integration of academic research and industrial practice.
Meanwhile, the on-site research and industrial achievement exhibition gathered 30 outstanding enterprises from Guangdong and Guangxi, displaying innovative technologies and products in advanced materials, intelligent manufacturing, new energy and environmental protection fields. The exhibition realised accurate docking between technological supply and industrial demand, greatly boosting the transformation and implementation of scientific research achievements.
Moving forward, the conference team will continue to build high-level academic and industrial exchange platforms, further deepen cross-regional scientific and technological innovation cooperation, promote the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Beibu Gulf region, and continuously empower the high-quality industrial development of advanced materials and intelligent manufacturing industries.
